The traditional Mike J design doesn't fit with some of my other plans, so need to design something that takes up less space. As far as i can see from the drawings he typically only bends forward about 10 degrees, although it sometimes looks a lot more.

If it pivots on the centre line instead of the back, then there is less weight acting against the mechanism, and it only has to move up/down at the front/back about 1" to give 10 degrees motion. Also will result in less "bunching up" of the rubber legs i think.

Hope to have it finished in the next couple of months.
